Nancy Coffman has been performing accounting, auditing, and consulting services for over fifteen years, principally for the following industries: wholesalers and retailers, not-for-profits, and professional service companies. Prior to joining E. Cohen and Company, CPAs, she was a senior manager with Ernst & Young and a controller for a $35 million newspaper and newsletter delivery and wholesale company.

Nancy brings a host of consulting skills to the company that benefits our business clients. These include strategic business planning, operational reviews, benchmarking and performance measurement, client surveys, and management policies and procedures.

She also develops and facilitates workshops that include strategic planning, strategic objectives, action plans, and performance measurement systems for businesses, professional service firms, and individual business departments within corporations.

She has particular expertise with the professional services industry. She has designed and implemented strategic plans and best practice initiatives for law firms and corporate legal departments with a focus on insource / outsource alternatives, use of technology, productivity matrixes, knowledge retention, and performance measurement.

Nancy is the Director of Marketing and Business Development for the firm. She also manages the strategic planning process and initiatives for the firm and provides strategic planning consulting services to our clients. She is a CPA with an inactive license, and is currently working towards the continuing education requirements to become an active CPA.

She is a member of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and the Maryland Association of CPAs.
