Kimberly Hodor Maxwell (Kim) is the Director of ECC’s Not-For-Profit Services Group.  She has extensive experience in providing auditing, accounting, tax and consulting services.  Kim has been providing these services to a broad range of clients in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for over fifteen years.

Kim's expertise relates to the following industries: Not-for-profit organizations, real estate, HUD assisted properties, non-supervised mortgage lenders, governmental entities, government contractors, retirement plans, healthcare, retail and wholesale.

She has significant audit experience pertaining to compliance and internal control analysis, accounting policy and procedure, design and integration of accounting systems, and governmental audits including OMB Circular A-133 audits.

Kim works with medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit entities to review their internal controls and implement procedures to safeguard assets.  As part of her consulting experience, Kim prepares budgets, forecasts, and business plans for corporations and other business entities. This work is integrated with the tax planning for the entity and owners, if applicable. She has also prepared business valuations for the gifting of stock certificates and various mergers and acquisitions.

Kim has extensive experience in preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, not-for-profit, and other tax returns. 

Kim is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Association of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
